Q: Is there a minimum skill level required to join the orchestra?

A: No! The orchestra is open to musicians of all skill levels. It would, however, be encouraged that you rehearse your part a couple of times before attending the rehearsals in order to ensure we are able to have a productive time together.


Q: Which instruments are included in the orchestra?

A: The orchestra comprises of violin, cello, viola, double bass, piano, keyboard, percussion, drum kit and a conductor.


Q: Is there a fee to join?

A: Yes, members will need to pay a small fee for each season. This fee covers the costs of studio rental, sheet music purchases and refreshments.


Q: Will I be paid to perform in the orchestra?

A: No. The organisation is self-funded by the members and is aimed at connecting musicians from all around the world who form part of the local community in Amsterdam.

Q: Can i join for just one season?

A: Yes, you’ll be notified via email when we open applications for the next season. From there, you can register for the season if you’re interested in joining.

Q: WHERE ARE REHEARSALS HELD?

A: The rehearsal venues change per season. Our most recent season will be hosted at Q-Factory, Amsterdam.

Q: I’m not a musician, but would love to watch you perform. How can i attend a show?

A: Great! At the end of each season, we host a small community concert. Fill in your details on the newsletter link below.
